airplane poem

belly down in a sleepless dream
I felt the weight of your muscles
on my back; I arched, pushing

the not choking choke hold of
the crease of your elbow on my
neck, safely, securely, consumed

my body turned my cheek to
pillow, these lips seeking yours,
eyes squeezed shut, tight, from
the waking world beyond
