the lightness of a sea view when
being taken from behind, past
starred shutters forced un-shut
and left out to breathe winter air
gazing at the cove between gasps,
eyes bright and wet in the panorama
I can’t stop grinning: when you kiss me,
I glimpse your face and its handsomeness
you show it to me, with boyish delight and
I welcome the intensity of your man’s grasp;
we give in to one another, and to what follows
the risky intimacy that has no regrets
stepping spring footed on toes, and bare,
up winter stone steps, we peer at the
watch dog, and down at the sea’s lap
where the water returns to calm
just following our crisp disruption of it
in frenetic, inspired, naked togetherness
later, we sip the total sensation of it all and
receive the giddy crispness of our perfect day

SIN ALIENTO
la claridad de una vista al mar mientras
soy tomada por detrás, más allá de
la persiana estrellada forzada no-cerrada
y aireada en el viento invernal
contemplando la cala entre jadeos,
ojos brillantes y empapados del panorama
no puedo dejar de sonreír: cuando me besas,
vislumbro tu cara tan hermosa
me la muestras, con el júbilo de un niño y
acojo la intensidad de tu abrazo de hombre;
nos entregamos el uno al otro, y a lo que sigue
la arriesgada intimidad sin remordimientos
caminando sobre pies amuellados y descalzos,
subimos escalones de piedra de invierno, contemplamos
el perro guardián, y allí en el regazo de la costa
dónde el agua se torna mansa
tras nuestra interrupción fresca
en frenética, inspirada, desnuda unión
luego, sorbemos la sensación total de todo ella
y recibimos la delirante frescura de nuestro día perfecto.
